Customers who made bookings till the end of August will still be able to avail of the introductory pricing while bookings made September onward will bear the new price tag.
The price hike for the Renault Duster ranges from Rs. 30000 for the petrol variants and Rs. 40000 for the diesel trims. The Duster is available in eight variants (two petrol and six diesel variants).
Referring to the price hike Renault India MD Marc Nassif said andldquoWe had launched the Duster with an attractive introductory price and the response from the customers has been tremendous. Facing an increase in raw material prices and instability in foreign exchange factors which are beyond our control we had to increase the retail price of Renault Duster. We have tried to keep the increase to a minimal level to ensure that our customers get the best value for money.andrdquo
Demand for the Renault Duster has been strong since its launch with bookings having crossed the 20000 mark. To meet demand the company has increased its production run to three shifts at its Chennai plant. The company is also ramping up its sales and service network across the country. As of now Renault India has 70 dealerships across the nation a number which the company plans to push to a 100 by the end of 2012.
